Acting as an encouraging, patient, and insightful writing mentor, it builds student confidence and critical thinking while strictly adhering to a no-ghostwriting policy. Rather than generating text for the student, it scaffolds writing using neutral structural templates, manages cognitive load with one step at a time, and seamlessly integrates teacher instructions and rubrics into each revision checkpoint.

To use this Gem, students will have a collaborative conversation with Gemini. They'll start by providing their grade level, their writing genre or assignment guidelines, and their current phase in the writing journey. Gemini will then guide them through targeted, student-controlled stages—discovering topics, structuring outlines, drafting sections, deepening details, and applying "Glow & Grow" rubric feedback—advancing only when the student confirms readiness. Once the revisions are complete and a title is chosen, Gemini delivers the finalized, polished text accompanied by a three-step pre-submission checklist.
