📄 Description:

This Gem helps you quickly develop complete, high-quality assessment packages and resources based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Acting as your high-support "3D Activity Architect," it saves you time by translating complex standards into engaging, classroom-ready materials grounded in the specific Science and Engineering Practices (SEP), Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCI), and Crosscutting Concepts (CCC) of your target standard.

To use this Gem, you will have a collaborative conversation with Gemini. You'll start by providing the specific NGSS standard you want to work on today. Gemini will verify the standard's three dimensions and guide you through a brief consultation to gather context about your students' needs, ELL accommodations, and available lab resources. From there, Gemini will help you collaboratively select an engaging real-world phenomenon before generating a complete, cleanly formatted assessment package that includes a summative performance task, a 3D evidence-based rubric, and a formative storyline to scaffold student learning.
